It is difficult to put my own work into words, as I am more a person of paint & brush than of pen & ink… And I’m not a philosopher who could draw my life sketch on canvas. I only wish I could, like those great person of Art whom I dearly admire and get inspired from. My attraction towards the paint & brush started way earlier, before I graduated in Applied Arts from J.J. School of Applied Arts in Mumbai in year 1990. After that, people of art have started given second, third and many more glance at my work, they have started reviewing it.
In the past years, I have had 15 solo exhibitions at prestigious venues including, The Jehangir Art Gallery, Artistes’ Centre, Nehru Centre, Goa Kala Academy,Primary Colors, Birla Art Gallery, Bajaj Art Gallery & Art Plaza, Mumbai. I have also participated in Group Show “India Festival” at Milan which was organized by BCA Galleries. Now my work finds it’s presence in the corporate collection of Deutsche Bank, House of Tatas, Mahindra & Mahindra, Larsen & Toubro, Camlin India Ltd, Bayer India, SBS Colourchem amongst many others. Recently, I created a theme-based mural at NASEOH, The National Society for Equal Opportunities for the Handicapped at Chembur. This deeply spiritual expression, “Niirjeeta” qualifying the spirit of NASEOH has won me a whole new breed of admirers, and I’m grateful to life for it. …Nature, peace, silence, people have been my true inspiration.
